Disya Stephens, Co-Founder of Fed Group Corp, Strives to Simplify the Complexities of Relocating to the USA

Relocating abroad can be a daunting challenge, riddled with complex paperwork and logistical nightmares. People may be overwhelmed by the struggles and might not have access to enough information and support to proceed confidently. Disya Stephens, co-founder of Fed Group Corp, an Orlando-based immigration and tax consulting firm, aims to assist people with these aspects of their relocation while prioritizing building personal relationships.

Fed Group Corp meets with clients to understand their background and goals, and devises an action plan that outlines which visa type best suits their intentions. The firm then helps clients by preparing the necessary documents and submitting and tracking the applications on their behalf.

"The process demands a lot of courage and determination, and that's challenging enough without considering the paperwork," says Stephens. "If I can wrap everything up in one package based on what they need, I can help them progress much more quickly."

Fed Group Corp values connecting with their clientele, believing that tailored solutions achieve better outcomes than a one-size-fits-all approach. "We strive to understand everyone's individual case and learn about their personal needs," says Stephens. "There's no limitation to what we try to help our clients with."

Stephens' dedication to her clients doesn't end after they relocate to the USA. Fed Group Corp continues to support them, making sure that they settle in safely and comfortably and find opportunities to grow. One such way is by connecting newcomers with small businesses seeking hardworking employees. "I want to be the bridge that links people who have just arrived to businesses that want to build a valuable workforce," explains Stephens.

To encourage a sense of community, Stephens has created a group through which clients can connect with one another about how they are navigating their journeys. "We've all had a very similar experience, so staying in touch can help people find more opportunities," she explains.

Fed Group Corp also helps their clientele understand the USA's tax system and guides them in filing their tax returns on time and accurately. "Relocation throws people into a whole new system, and it can take time for them to adjust to another country's practices," says Stephens. "We want to make every aspect of the process easier and show them the ins and outs."

Stephens also considers the commitment made by businesses and assists them by organizing their accounts and employment records. "We strive to ensure that business owners understand all the steps needed to correctly hire newly relocated people, and that their paperwork and filings are all accurate and up to date," she explains.

Founded in 2023, Fed Group Corp was inspired by Stephens' own relocation journey. Having moved to the USA in 2014, she recalls that the experience felt overwhelming at times. "Nobody taught me where to look or how to file things, and I had to muddle my way through the complexities," says Stephens. "I've had a firsthand feel for the process and its challenges, so I want to help others out as much as I can."

After getting settled, Stephens pursued a degree in accounting, wanting to learn more about the financial industry, and soon landed a job at a tax collection agency. "I noticed the little errors that people would make when filing their taxes," Stephen recalls. "I decided then that I wanted to take my knowledge and experience from working in the tax industry and use it to help newcomers."

Today, the Fed Group Corp has matured to having separate teams that operate in administration, sales, and marketing. Stephens shares that the firm has not invested in advertising but has seen growth through word of mouth alone.

Looking forward, Stephens is keen to continue helping others on their relocation journeys in worthwhile ways. "Moving countries is not a simple matter," she states. "Seeing someone put down roots and become a part of the community in their new home is what drives me."
