Distraught mum claims psychic 4,500 miles away predicted where son's body was

A distraught mum has revealed how a psychic 4,500 miles away told her where her missing son’s body would be found.

Alex Holland’s body was tragically found face down in water by a dog walker on February 17.

His mum Rachel last saw him on the night of November 28 when he stepped outside their front door to have a cigarette.

And she claims US psychic Mary Lawton Johnson contacted both her and Kent Police to tell them where they would find missing Alex, 27.

The renowned medium also says she is convinced Alex was murdered - and that police should do more to investigate.

Mary, who lives in Florida and has never been to the Hollands’ hometown in Kent, saw visions of Alex face down in a pool of water.

She says she sent 12 emails to the police and Alex’s family with maps highlighting areas of water which should be searched.

Despite pressure from both women, police did not search those areas.

Guidelines published by the College of Policing in 2015 advise that information from psychics should not be dismissed.

According to mum Rachel, Alex was found in one of Mary’s highlighted areas wearing one shoe and his death still remains a mystery.

The other open-toed and backless shoe was recovered 10ft from where his hire car was found.

His phone was still in the car, but no suicide note had been left.

Despite putting pressure on the police to find them, Rachel says she still doesn't know where his wallet or car keys are.

Alex’s body was found approximately 1.5 miles away from their family home in Deal, Kent.

Rachel, 50, suspects that her son was murdered and his body disposed of in the water - a suspicion Mary supports.

The psychic believes three people were involved in Alex’s death.

A post mortem examination has recorded the cause of death as 'unexplained'.

Rachel said: “I believe my son was murdered.

“Right now, I can’t prove that but I do because too many things don’t add up.

“I just want the truth.

“Last time I saw him, he popped his head round my bedroom door and told me and his dad he was going to have a cigarette, shower and then go to bed.

“He asked his dad to wake him up in the morning for work.

“But I got up an hour later to go to the toilet and realised he wasn’t in, so I thought he must have just gone out.

“I was phoning his mobile the next day, and come tea time I was worried.

“I thought ‘I need to know where he is’ and called the police to report him missing.”

Alex was living back home with his parents after separating from his wife before he went missing.

Police and search parties went looking for him 24 hours after he was last seen.

His body wasn’t found for another 81 days.

Rachel is certain her son didn’t commit suicide.

She added: “I know what it’s like to hit a point so low that you’re at that stage - but my son wasn’t like that.

“And he would have never left his two girls - he loved them.

“He was such a loving dad.

“He was a loving son too, he was a good son.

“He’d phone us every day to check in on us.”

Psychic Mary made contact with Alex’s family in the weeks after he went missing.

She told Rachel that she had driven past a very angry man on the side of the road near her home in Florida.

She quickly realised that man was a vision of Alex.

Mary was quite scared by how angry Alex was and told his family it was because he had been jumped and killed the night he went missing.

Rachel added: “I’ve said that to the police since day one.

“I believe he was dragged out of his car and taken in another vehicle and killed.

“Police wouldn’t believe me - they wouldn’t listen to a single word I said.”

Alex’s family raised awareness of his disappearance with emotional appeals and a dedicated Facebook page.

After months of no leads, his body was recovered from water in Hacklinge, Kent.

Officials have stipulated to his family that he is likely to have been there the whole time - meaning Mary’s predictions were right all along.

Mary says she has sent descriptions of three "suspects" to officers but police continue to treat Alex’s death as non-suspicious.

Toxicology reports are not expected for at least another 12 weeks.

Kent Police said officers have made "extensive enquiries" following the death of Alex Holland from Deal who had been reported missing on Sunday 28 November 2021 and whose body was discovered on Thursday 17 February 2022 near Hacklinge in Kent.

A report is being prepared for the coroner who will hold an inquest to determine the cause of death.

Detective Inspector Louise Murphy of Kent Police said: "A number of enquiries have been carried out into the circumstances of the death, including reviewing CCTV footage and examining mobile phone data and, based on the available information, there is nothing so far to suggest the death is suspicious.

"A post-mortem has been completed and we are treating the death as unexplained at this stage, pending further toxicology results.

"All of the evidence gathered will be submitted to the coroner for consideration.

"Updates have been provided to the family of the deceased where appropriate and we will continue to relay any concerns or questions they may have to the coroner.

"We appreciate how difficult this is for Alex’s family and friends and our thoughts remain with them."
