The family of a missing Ayrshire mum have begged for their "beautiful soul" to come home.
Lisa Haining vanished from her house in Dundonald in the early hours of the morning one week ago today.
The 50-year-old has not been seen since her distinctive white Renault Twingo car was spotted leaving the village in the early hours of last Friday.
Her distraught husband, Craig, has today spoken of the "one in a million" mum whose disappearance has left a gaping hole in her family's life.
He said: "All I want is for Lisa to come home. She's a beautiful soul - very, very caring in both her profession and at home as well.
"Her whole life is her family and she's a very private person. She's one in a million.
"I hope she's with someone and sees this and can just come home and we'll take it from there.
"She's a very proud person who would be mortified at all this but at the same time we need her home."
Lisa, a nurse at Prestwick's Biggart Hospital, disappeared shortly before 4am last Friday from the Castle View area of Dundonald.
The mum to Gregor, 22, Emma, 19 and Ewan, 15, is described as 5ft in height and of slim build, with dyed blonde hair and darker roots.
She was last seen wearing black leggings, an olive-green shirt, brown jacket and white trainers.
Police believe her white Renault Twingo hatchback - registration SJ65 JXP - holds the key to the case as they have so far been unable to trace the distinctive motor outside of the village.
Inspector Ian McColl said: "We have no information to suggest that Lisa has come to any harm, although as time progresses our concern increases.
"The car is critical to our inquiry and we need the eyes and ears of the public on this one.
"There aren't many of these types of cars around - go and look around your towns and cities and you won't find a lot of them.
"Plenty of people in our local communities and far beyond are well aware of this case and we need them to stay vigilant.
"Anyone who has outbuildings or lock-ups they may not have used in a while - please check them incase Lisa may be seeking shelter there.
"No clue or possible sighting is too small for us to follow up. Do not sit in the house and deem information insignificant - let us decide on that.
"And if anyone has information that may lead us to Lisa, and wants to speak to us anonymously, please do so.
"We are just looking for one small sign or signal that she's safe and well and that is a start. It will help put the minds of Craig and his family at rest, as they are understandably distraught."
Craig, 51, added: "All I want is for Lisa to come home.
"Emma, Gregor and Ewan miss their mum very much and we all just want to make sure she's okay and come back to us.
"If she sees this appeal, please come home or get in touch with the police.
"If anyone has seen Lisa or has any information as to where she is, please contact the police."
