A passenger "behaving disruptively" was removed from an easyJet flight from Belfast to Turkey on Saturday afternoon following an alleged assault.
Belfast Live reports that a female passenger was thrown off a flight from Belfast International Airport to Dalaman in Turkey after allegedly assaulting a male just as the plane was about to take off.
The incident took place at 2.30pm yesterday, when the cabin crew alerted airport police to the disturbance and the pilot was forced to return the aircraft to the airport.

Authorities then removed the passenger before the delayed flight was able to take off safely to its Turkish destination.
easyJet has said that it takes incidents of this nature very seriously and does not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour.
A spokesperson for the airline said: "easyJet can confirm that flight EZY3055 from Belfast International Airport to Dalaman (Turkey) on 8 April returned to stand due to a passenger behaving disruptively. The aircraft was met by police and the passenger was offloaded before the flight continued to Dalaman.
"Our cabin crew are trained to assess all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.
"Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour onboard. The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always easyJet's priority."
