A 'disorientated' Scottish pensioner was rescued by heroic police offers after he became lost in a wooded area near his home.
Helicopter cameras from Police Scotland have shown the moment missing pensioner Thomas Duncan was saved and located by officers after vanishing from his home in Dunfermline this week.
Police had sparked a search for the 65-year-old in Fife on Thursday afternoon (December 1) after he vanished shortly after 4.45pm.

Issuing an urgent appeal, local residents had been asked to check their gardens and outbuildings, with an Air Unit called out to scour the Headwell area of the town.
The Record reports that a few hours later, at around 8pm, the helicopter crew had spotted Mr Duncan appearing disorientated in a woodland area, before directing ground officers towards him.

The force tweeted: “Police helicopter assisted Fife Police at Dunfermline last night in the search for a vulnerable missing person.
“Aircrew spotted the male in a densely overgrown area near his home. Police on the ground directed to him where he was found safe and well and taken home.”
