Disneyland Paris has been welcoming guests for almost three decades, and as the 30th anniversary of the French resort looms Disney has announced plans for the big celebration. The party kicks off on March 6, 2022.

There will be a host of new entertainment at Disneyland Paris, including an all-new daytime show called “Dream…and Shine Brighter!” that will take place in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Mickey Mouse and all of his pals will also get new iridescent costumes to wear around the park. Minnie Mouse will also get an exclusive look for Walt Disney Studios Park with a new pantsuit, a first for Disneyland Paris.

Around Sleeping Beauty Castle, 30 new art pieces used on Disney and Pixar characters will be installed. All of the new artwork is inspired by windmills for children, the world of Salvador Dali and more.

As night falls over Disneyland Paris, a new pre-show, “Disney D-Light,” will take place before the start of “Disney Illuminations.” The new show will bring together video projections, illuminated water jets, lighting, mist, music, and drone choreographies. Drones as an entertainment medium is an area where Disney has dabbled in the past, but this will be the first time that drones will be used as part of a daily outdoor show in a Disney Park. In the past, drones have been used for limited-time engagements at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and for a press opening of Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. “Disney D-Light” will utilize 200 synchronized drones for the show.

The biggest opening at Disneyland Paris during its 30th year will be the highly anticipated Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park. The team from Walt Disney Imagineering recently completed the installation of the eye-catching Quinjet from the Avengers films inside the new land.

Inside Avengers Campus, guests will be able to interact with their favorite Marvel superheroes and characters, ride new attractions, and of course, dine and shop. Fans will be able to join Peter Parker on WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, which is also available at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus. A new Iron Man-themed roller coaster will also anchor the land.

As Disneyland Paris looks to the future guests are sure to enjoy all of these new offerings. The Disneyland Paris resort is changing dramatically to keep up with the interests of fans and to maximize the space within the two theme park’s footprint. Avengers Campus and the new drone show are both proof that Disneyland Paris isn’t just The Walt Disney Company’s most beautiful theme park, but also one worth watching with advanced technology inside.
