Disney Plus and Netflix trick to save more than £100

Many will be looking closely at their finances to see where they can make extra savings.

One place experts at Which?, the consumer choice website, say people can look to is their subscriptions. Many of us have signed up to more than one online streaming service, costing us a lot in monthly bills.

But there is a way you can squeeze the cost of these subscriptions without ever missing your favourite show. Which? revealed a series of ways you can look at to ease the financial burden of keeping your entertainment packages up to date, but there is one that could instantly save you money.

They said: "Netflix, Now, Amazon Prime and Disney+ will allow you to cancel monthly subscriptions at any point with no exit fee, so if you can plan what you want to watch you could alternate to save.

"For example, if you subscribed to both Disney+ and Netflix (standard) at a monthly rate, you would pay £227.76 a year in total.

"However, if you alternated months you would pay just £113.88 a year (six months of Disney at £7.99 and six months of Netflix at £10.99)."

Which? also said you should shop around and compare the best deals and points out that some shows feature on more than one platform. So if you love Peaky Blinders and pay for a TV license, you can watch it for free on BBC iPlayer instead of also paying for Nextflix to watch Cillian Murphy.
