Disney gives Camp Rock fans a major nostalgic update ahead of premiere

Disney Camp Rock Demi Lovato

Disney confirmed that Demi Lovato will reprise her role as Mitchie Torres for a brief cameo in Camp Rock 3, which debuts this Thursday.
Lovato, previously announced only as an executive producer, reunited with co-stars and fellow executive producers Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas at the film's Los Angeles premiere on Monday.
The third installment follows Connect 3 as they return to Camp Rock to find an opening act for their reunion tour, introducing a new generation of campers.
Maria Canals-Barrera will also reprise her role as Mitchie's mother, joining new cast members Liamani Segura and Malachi Burton.
Director Veronica Rodriguez noted that the film carefully balances honoring the original legacy characters while allowing the new campers to take center stage.
