In a rare political statement, Carol Vorderman has landed a stinging blow on Boris Johnson following this week's by-election losses in Wakefield and the consituency of Tiverton and Honiton.
The Countdown legend, who lives in Bristol, took to Twitter to call for the Prime Minister to leave office in the wake of Oliver Dowden's resignation as the Conservative party's co-chair.
She tweeted: "I'm not a politically motivated woman, never have been. I've never belonged to a political party. I worked with David Blunkett (Labour) on the world's first online grooming law and with a previous Tory gov on Mathematics policy in schools. Both for the cause, not the politics."(sic).
