Despite having already stripped off his royal titles – including Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh, as well as his right to be called 'His Royal Highness' – in October 2025, and all related public duties and obligations, King Charles III initially ceased financial support through a formal directive to the Keeper of the Privy Purse in November 2024, which cut Andrew's £1 million (approximately $1.3 million USD) annual personal allowance and halted funding for his private security.
