Discolored Tablets Prompt Second Recall of Amazon-Brand Acetaminophen From the Same Manufacturer in About 16 Months

A recall of 112,932 bottles of Amazon Basic Care Extra Strength acetaminophen over discolored tablets is the second discoloration recall of Amazon-labeled acetaminophen tied to Aurobindo Pharma USA in about 16 months.

In May 2025, Aurobindo recalled 4,608 bottles of Amazon-labeled 325-milligram acetaminophen tablets because of "tablet discoloration, specifically a brown surface observed on some tablets," according to HMP Global Learning Network.
