Disabled man sexually assaulted on London-bound train

A disabled man was sexually assaulted on a London-bound train, detectives said.

British Transport Police launched an urgent manhunt following the incident on a Liverpool Lime Street to Euston service at around 9pm on November 6.

Officers released CCTV images of a male who they believe may have information that would help their investigation.

A force spokesman said: “Do you recognise this man?

Do you recognise this man who was on the Liverpool to Euston train? (British Transport Police)

“Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a man on a train to Euston have today released these images in connection.

“Just after 9pm on Thursday, November 6, a disabled man was sexually assaulted while on a train from Liverpool to Euston railway station.

“Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that would help their investigation.”

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 140 of 6 November.

Alternatively, they can also share information with Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
