Mexican film director Guillermo del Toro has been pictured in Edinburgh as he scouts locations for his new film.
The award-winning filmmaker shared a photo of himself outside The Ivy on St Andrew Square on Wednesday afternoon.
He later posted a picture on Twitter outside nearby Sainsbury's, alongside Guy Davis, a respected designer and artist he often collaborates with.

Del Toro, most famous for films including Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, and most recently Pinocchio, has been awarded three Academy Awards throughout his career.
He was recently announced as director of live action Frankenstein, with rumours circulating that the star studded cast may include Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac, and Mia Goth.
He tweeted: "Scouting for Locations… Day 4."
Fans of the 58-year-old were quick to offer him support on social media.
Kayleigh Donaldson tweeted: "I imagine a hundred people have already told you to go but check out the Surgeon's Hall for suitably Frankenstein-esque inspirations."
Julia Jayhan Handschin wrote: "Have fun in Scotland! And if you can, I hope you get to enjoy some of the traditional folk music they have there, whether it be at festivals or bars."
Coleslaw chaos added: "Crying because I’m so excited but also would love to be part of this production".
