Director Adam Wingard has provided an exciting update on the long-awaited ThunderCats movie, hinting that it could be his next project. Wingard, along with his writing partner Simon Barrett, is actively working on the script for the adaptation of the popular 80s cartoon, making it one of their top priorities. The duo had to pause their work on the Thundercats project while Wingard was involved in another movie, but they have now resumed their efforts.
The live-action Thundercats movie has been in development for some time, with Wingard first announced as the director in 2021. Writer Simon Barrett has teased that audiences are not prepared for what Wingard has in store for the Thundercats adaptation, promising that it will be 'really, really cool' and will 'destroy.'
