Direct tax collection grows 24.58% to Rs 14.71 lakh crore till Jan 10

NEW DELHI: The gross direct tax collection in India increased by 24.58% to reach Rs 14.71 lakh crore by January 10th of this fiscal year, according to a government data release on Wednesday.

This growth was driven by an uptick in personal income tax collection.
