Dionne Warwick goes viral after slamming new Oreo cookie flavours

The 81-year-old did not hold back

We must protect Dionne Warwick and her Twitter account at all costs.

The That’s What Friends Are For singer officially joined the platform in 2012 but recently found her hilarious online groove thanks to a helping hand from her niece and Twitter coach, Brittani Warrick.

“I am not writing a bio,” reads her profile – and why should she? She’s the Dionne Warwick.

But now, she’s turned up the amp on everyone’s favourite cookies, Oreos. She expressed her frustration at the “outrageous” flavours by throwing a little shade at the brand.

“After asking @Oreo to stick to the original flavour, they sent me these outrageous items as a response,” she said, accompanied with a side-eye emoji, a photo of ‘ java chip flavour’ cookies and an Oreo flavoured lip balm.

“I will be retaliating at a later date,” she added.

After many chart-topping and iconic hits, Warwick’s zero tolerance to nonsense soon went viral last December when she tweeted Chance the Rapper, asking: “Hi, @chancetherapper. If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this”.

The stunned rapper responded shortly after with, “Sorry I’m still freaking out that u know who I am. This is amazing!”

“I will be whatever you wanna call me Ms Warwick. God bless you.”

“I am now Dionne the Singer,” she said, adding to Chance: “Of course, I know you. You’re THE rapper. Let’s rap together. I’ll message you.”

Next up on her list of ponderings was The Weeknd – for dropping a vowel in his stage name.

“The Weeknd is next. Why? It’s not even spelled correctly? @theweeknd,” she candidly tweeted.

“If you have ‘The’ in your name i’m coming for you. I need answers today.”

Shortly after, Warwick was done.

“Okay, I am going to watch Lucifer now. Bye!” she added.
