Diogo Jota is ready to 'rest and recover' as his season has finally come to an end following international matches with Portugal - where he picked up a thigh injury in the loss to Switzerland on Sunday.
The Liverpool striker recorded his best campaign with 21 goals in all competitions for the Reds and came on as a substitute during Portugal's 1-0 loss after Haris Seferovic opened the scoring in the first minute during the UEFA Nations League match.
However, Jota was not on the pitch for long after suffering a thigh injury that was confirmed by the Portuguese Football Federation on Monday night.

The Liverpool forward took to Instagram to say: "Unfortunately this season ended with a defeat and with an injury! Time to rest and recover to come back fit into the new one."
The Portuguese Football Federation has confirmed that Liverpool have been informed of the injury and the procedures that have been undertaken in the presence of the national team's doctor.
Jota and Portugal are currently second in the Nations League Group A2 on seven points, just a point behind rivals Spain and ahead of Czech Republic and Switzerland.
