Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford represent Manchester United in Premier League Team of the Week

Manchester United continued their good form with a win against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday. Erik ten Hag's side kept a clean sheet and won 1-0 to move above Chelsea in the Premier League table.

For their effort, two United players were named in BBC's Team of the Week; Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford. Both were vital to securing the win and both deserve their place.

Dalot has come on leaps and bounds since the appointment of Ten Hag. His future at Old Trafford looked incredibly uncertain a year ago under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but now he is an invaluable member of the starting XI.

Garth Crooks wrote: "The real star of the show was Diogo Dalot. If there was a header to be made, he made it. He defended brilliantly and at times in very difficult circumstances. United are now just one point outside the top four and looking like a proper team again."

One major criticism of Aaron Wan-Bissaka was his inability to defend the back post, leading United to concede a number of goals there. Dalot was imperious in defending that area against West Ham and that was a key reason the team earned three points at the end of the game.

Rashford was equally important to United's victory. He scored the only goal of the match with a fantastic and unexpected header. Christian Eriksen swung a perfect ball into the box which the English forward met sweetly.

Crooks said: "Scoring 100 goals for Manchester United is a big deal. Marcus Rashford has worked hard in recent months to maintain a regular spot in the United side ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo Against West Ham, Rashford looked like a player who had not just worked hard but had regained his confidence."

Overall it's a good result for United and hopefully the presence of their players in the Team of the Week will become a regular occurrence.
