Dimple Kapadia has joined the cast of Dinesh Vijan’s upcoming film, to be directed by Amit Joshi. The film will bring together Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon for the first time.
According to reports, Dimple’s character in the film will bring a brilliant arc to the story and the senior actress is excited to join the cast. The film will go on floors today, i.e. October 29 in Mumbai and this will be followed by a schedule in Delhi, before finally flying off to Europe for a marathon schedule.
Dimple, who has worked with the makers of the film before in movies like, ‘Cocktail’, ‘Finding Fanny’, and ‘Angrezi Medium’, is elated to reunite with them. The film is a unique romantic comedy set against the backdrop of a robotic world. While Kriti will be seen playing a robot, Shahid will essay the role of a scientist, a report in Pinkvilla stated.
Earlier, Dimple was to collaborate with Kriti for ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’. However, the actress had to back off at the last minute owing to the date issues.
Apart from this, Dimple also has Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The makers have also roped in Boney Kapoor as an actor in the film.
Shahid is collaborating with Ali Abbas Zafar for his next which will be an action film. Kriti, on the other hand, has films like, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Ganapath’, ‘Shehzada’ and ‘Adipurush’ in her kitty.
