NEW DELHI: While Delhi University (DU) has released a draft framework for the undergraduate curriculum based on the National Education Policy (NEP), professors and teachers flagged issues like reducing the number of credits and teaching positions and dilution of courses.
The university in August passed a framework with 196 credits for a four-year course, and two structures — with 184 and 164 credits — were proposed in December. While there was uncertainty on whether the new models will retain the BA and BSc programme courses, the draft framework proposed by the university on Friday gives the students an option to pursue a bachelors in a multidisciplinary course.
