Steven Gerrard will be flooded with managerial offers despite his sacking from Premier League side Aston Villa earlier this month, according to former team-mate Dietmar Hamann.
The former Liverpool captain faced his first hurdle in management as he lasted just 11 months into a four-year deal at Villa Park, with a 3-0 defeat at newly-promoted Fulham the final straw for the club's owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
Gerrard replaced boyhood Villa fan and former manager Dean Smith at the Premier League outfit after a successful three-year stint with Scottish Premiership giants Rangers, who he guided to a historic 55th domestic title and went unbeaten in the process.

But despite enjoying great success in Ibrox, which also included a string of impressive European displays, Gerrard's next move in management has been questioned by many onlookers keen to see what route the former Liverpool icon takes after his difficult stint in the west Midlands.
However, ex-Liverpool midfielder Hamann - who won the 2005 Champions League alongside Gerrard - insists his former team-mate will have an abundance of clubs interested in his services despite his recent setback but may have to settle for life in the Championship.
"Steven Gerrard's situation is tricky," said Hamann, speaking to BoyleSports. "He's done well at Rangers and obviously had that setback with Aston Villa now but I think he'll get offered an awful lot of jobs and it's just a question of what opportunities you turn down and how long you turn them down for because when you get an offer you don't know when the next opportunity will come.
"Steven is in a very delicate and tricky situation right now. I'm not sure what expectations Gerrard has but securing another job in the Premier League won't be easy and maybe he should go somewhere abroad for a couple of years or maybe drop down to the Championship."
He added: "I hope to see him back because I think he will become a very good manager and I think we've seen that things at Aston Villa aren't as rosy as they may have looked at the start of the season"
Despite being out of work for less than a month, Gerrard has already been linked with the England job despite manager Gareth Southgate penning a two-year extension, until 2024, just last year.
As well the Three Lions, the 42-year-old has also been linked with a sweep of jobs in the Championship, with some bookmakers pricing him at 25/1 to be Cardiff City's next manager. The Bluebirds currently sit 17th, just four points above the relegation zone, and are managed by Mark Hudson.
