Sean 'Diddy' Combs is reportedly enjoying a range of unusual perks inside FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, including access to a contraband mobile phone, alcohol, massages, and inmates who allegedly cook and clean for him, according to NBC News.
Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion. Four men who told NBC News they had spent time in the same prison unit described what they said was an unusually privileged existence for the former music mogul.
The claims are based on anonymous sources and have not been independently established in the material available. Combs' spokesperson has also rejected the characterisation of his life behind bars.
One source said, 'This is not some normal s–t you see in jail. This is some rich s–t.'
Diddy Prison Life Described by Anonymous Sources
According to the four sources cited by NBC News, other inmates allegedly cook for Combs, clean his living area, make his bed and do his laundry. One inmate was also said to provide Chinese-style massages.
The report said Combs allegedly spends thousands of dollars a month maintaining the reported arrangements. The sources said money from outside prison is deposited into other inmates' commissary accounts, which they alleged helps pay for services provided to him.
One inmate reportedly cleans the toilet and shower areas before Combs uses them, while others allegedly prepare special meals using makeshift cooking equipment. The meals were said to include curry chicken, pizza and empanadas.
'After a while, I got tired of cooking. He started going to the Jamaicans,' one man who described preparing food for Combs and other inmates claimed.
The report also alleges that Combs has access to a contraband mobile phone. Multiple sources claimed that he uses the device to browse Instagram and view sexually explicit images allegedly sent by a former girlfriend.
Two sources also said Combs has access to a tablet they described as 'jailbroken', which he allegedly uses to watch films and documentaries, including the Netflix series Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
NBC did not independently establish every detail of the alleged arrangements.
Diddy Reportedly Has Access to Alcohol
Alcohol is another major claim in the report.
Sources claim that Combs has access to premium liquor inside the facility, with one inmate recalling drinking Hennessy with him. They alleged that alcohol had been smuggled into the prison, although that claim has not been independently established.
'Hell yeah, I drank with him,' one inmate said.
The sources also alleged that Combs has paid for other inmates' prescription Remeron medication. They said the drug is sometimes traded illegally inside the prison. The report does not establish that Combs himself distributed or sold the medication.
One anonymous inmate described the alleged availability of prohibited goods by saying, 'You can pretty much get anything except a key to the front door and a female.'
Combs' time at Fort Dix has also reportedly included disciplinary problems.
Sources cited in the report said he was placed in the prison's Special Housing Unit in July following an altercation with another inmate and was later removed from a drug treatment programme. TMZ separately reported at the time that Combs had been placed in the unit after a fight, although the Bureau of Prisons did not publicly discuss his individual disciplinary status.
Spokesperson Disputes Reports of Lavish Life
His spokesperson strongly pushed back against the focus on his prison arrangements.
'The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs's life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news,' the spokesperson said.
'The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court's decision on his appeal.'
Combs' projected release date has also changed several times. Federal Bureau of Prisons records viewed by Page Six showed a projected release date of 21 January 2028, although that date remains subject to change.
The reported prison arrangements come while Combs continues serving the sentence imposed after his prostitution-related convictions, with his appeal still pending.
