Thousands of AI-powered social media accounts have reportedly been used to target King Charles III and the wider Royal Family, reviving an extraordinary old claim that the monarch secretly converted to Islam.

An investigation by The Times traced key accounts spreading the narrative to bot farms operating from Vietnam. The reports stated that the Palace officials are reportedly concerned that campaigns seeking to destabilise the monarchy have targeted both Charles and Prince William.
