Did Chris Hemsworth CONFIRM return as Thor in 'Deadpool and Wolverine'? Says he owes fans after 'Love and Thunder' 'parody'

Chris Hemsworth has seemingly confirmed his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

The actor, best known for his role as the God of Thunder, Thor, said in his latest interview that he will be back in action on the big screen and claimed that it had a lot to do with the way he left things in the box office failure, 'Thor: Love and Thunder'.

Hemsworth revealed his dissatisfaction with his portrayal in 'Love & Thunder', citing concerns about becoming a caricature of himself. "I got caught up in the improv and the wackiness," he said to Vanity Fair and added, "I became a parody of myself. I didn’t stick the landing."

Moreover, Hemsworth shared insights into his character's evolution within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressing frustration over Thor's perceived lack of depth as compared to his fellow Avengers. "I would read everyone else’s lines & go, ‘Oh, they’ve got cooler stuff. They’re having more fun. What’s my character doing?’ It was always, ‘You’ve got the wig on. You’ve got the muscles. You’ve got the costume...’ Yeah, I’m part of this big thing, but I’m probably pretty replaceable," he confessed, shedding light on his internal struggles with the character's trajectory.

Interestingly, the actor's hints about reprising his role as Thor in future projects come at a time when rumours are rife that he will feature in the highly anticipated film 'Deadpool and Wolverine' starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Speculation regarding his potential return as Thor in the upcoming project began doing the rounds last week when insiders claimed that he will be seen in a cameo along with the long line of stars including Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner, Benedict Cumberbatch and others, as the film is believed to lead into 'Avengers: Secret Wars'.

'Deadpool and Wolverine' releases on July 27.
