Platinum Party at the Palace viewers were taken aback by Diana Ross' age.

The star-studded concert was broadcast on BBC One tonight from Buckingham Palace. The event featured performances from acts such as Craig David and Sam Ryder as the nation paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II as she celebrates 70 years on the throne.

An audience of 22,000 gathered at the thrilling event which also featured a stunning light show and a moving speech from Prince Charles. Diana Ross took to the stage to close out the event for her first stage appearance in the UK for 15 years.

Audiences were delighted as the Motown singer performed classics such as Chain Reaction and Ain't no Mountain High Enough. Viewers following the show on Twitter took to the social media platform to praise the musician for her thrilling performance at 78-years-old.
