Diagnosed at 48, Amanda is running a half marathon to prove a point

After suffering from painful, swollen legs her whole life, 51-year-old Isaacs resident Amanda Bogar is running to prove a point.

Diagnosed with lipoedema at 48, Ms Bogar is now training for The Canberra Times Fun Run half marathon on November 1 to prove to herself that she can cross the finish line.

"I'd never really considered myself a runner. I didn't know it then, but it was because I have lipoedema."
