The last time we saw Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker on a basketball court, it didn’t go particularly well for his team.
Phoenix was eliminated from the postseason by Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, and it was fairly embarrassing. Although the playoffs did not end how Booker would have imagined during the season, there is always promise at the start of a new campaign.
Before training camp and the preseason begins, however, Booker was able to spend an evening enjoying himself at a Jack Harlow concert in the Phoenix. Harlow, a rapper whose debut album was certified platinum in 2021, invited Booker on stage during the performance.

Harlow’s stage setup featured the replica of a home, and that included a basketball hoop above a garage.
It wasn’t surprising to see Harlow, a Celtics fan who participated in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Cleveland this past season, have a sports theme to his show when he was on stage. Harlow was recently a guest host on ESPN’s College GameDay.

What was surprising, though, was to see that Booker missed his shot when he was given a basketball to shoot.
You can hear the shock and devastation from the crowd when the shot clanks against the rim and does not fall in the basket. In fairness to Booker, it’s a lot of pressure to perform and the hoop wasn’t regulation.

Fortunately, though, the rapper gave Booker another opportunity. Booker was able to redeem himself on his second chance, but the damage was probably already done.
Folks who attended the show will remember it as the night that Booker missed a free throw while on stage with Jack Harlow.
