Devastating crash kills 13 wedding guests in Indonesia

  • The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the northern coastal highway near Kiajaran Kulon village of Indramayu regency, Java.
  • The open-bed pickup truck was attempting a U-turn when it was struck from behind by one lorry, then pushed into the opposite lane where it was hit by another.
  • The powerful impact ejected more than a dozen people from the pickup truck onto the highway.
  • Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash , with deadly traffic accidents being common in Indonesia due to factors like overloaded vehicles and poor road safety.
