A distraught mum has revealed the heartbreaking last words her dying son made and her vow to look after his two children.
Connor Pleasance, 26, was taken into hospital after starting to feel ill in June. He was later diagnosed with a ruptured bladder. While in hospital he also caught pneumonia. Connor was eventually able to return back to his home to Barnsley, South Yorkshire, but he fell ill again soon after.
Described by his mum as young and fit, Connor was placed in a coma after complications caused by the ruptured bladder. He died in the early hours of Sunday, August 14 after spending three weeks on life support.

Mum Jo Pleasance, 48, shared news of Connor’s passing in a touching tribute on social media, reports Yorkshire Live. In the post, Jo wrote: “Can't believe I'm writing this but I am. My beautiful, amazing boy lost his fight last night, I'm truly heartbroken. I'm gunna miss you so much, son. You are everything to me and always will be. Love you forever my angel."
An appeal set up to support the family after he was placed on life support has raised nearly £6,000 and yesterday (August 23) Jo said: "He's my only child and I have lost him. It's been an awful time, it just happened so suddenly. He was fun-loving and clever, worked as a team leader at a call centre and loved his kids.
"His last words to me were: 'Look after my kids, mum, I love you' and I told him I loved him and promised that I would do."
"He liked music and we played him Gerry Cinnamon and the rock band DMA's. He has two little ones, five-year-old Grace and his boy Beau who is four months old. He only met Beau for three weeks because of him being in hospital so much. I must say thank you to the staff at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester - they were absolutely brilliant looking after him and I have been overwhelmed by the response to his plight.
"Everyone has been so kind, and the folks at the Bulls Head pub in Brampton Bierlow, our local, have been great. He was a very popular lad and a gamer so he has had messages of support from all over the world. The hospital staff were very good and he had 27 people visit him in one day. I expect there will be a lot of people at his funeral service."
Kind-hearted regulars at Bulls Head raised £630 towards his funeral expenses. A post from the pub said simply: 'We love you so bloody much!'. A horse-drawn carriage will take him to Ardsley Crematorium on the afternoon of September 8.
