Devastated mum issues plea for missing son to return home

A devastated mum has issued an emotional plea for her son to come home.

The last reported sighting of Jack Tanner, 25, was at Bootle Strand on Monday, March 28 at around 12:00pm. According to his mum Lynsey Barker, from Maghull, Jack had been taken to the Strand by medical staff of Clock View Hospital when he ran away.

Speaking to the ECHO she said: "Jack is very unwell at the moment and he has not got any of his medication on him, which is what he is in hospital for."

Jack who is from Maghull, has not been seen since he went missing on Monday. He has been a resident of Clock View Hospital since December being treated at a mental health unit.

Lynsey said: "If anybody sees Jack please do not approach him we don't know how he will react, please just contact the police straight away."

Jack is described as a white male, 5ft 7, of medium build with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue tracksuit pants.

He is also well know on the Liverpool bar scene were he worked for a number of years. Lynsey is pleading with anyone who may have information to come forward.

She said: "I'm absolutely devastated and I just want him to come home. I just want to know he is safe. He is not in trouble, please come home Jack."
