A teenager killed in a tragic car crash has been hailed as an angel with the “world at her feet” by her devastated family.
Lily-May Vaughan, 17, died following a collision on the A53 near Shawbury, Shropshire, on Saturday, February 4.
A 17-year-old boy was also seriously hurt in the tragedy and was airlifted to hospital following the tragedy.
An appeal for witnesses was launched in the wake of the incident by West Mercia Police officers.
Now Lily-May’s family have paid tribute to their “beautiful” daughter.
They said in a statement: “We are heartbroken following the incident and the loss of our angel Lily-May.
“She was a beautiful, kind, happy, caring and loving person who leaves behind a family that loves her dearly and who will miss her each and every day she is no longer with us.
“We are still coming to terms with the devastating loss of a 17-year-old young lady with the world at her feet and we ask that our privacy is respected at this difficult time whilst the police continue their investigation.”
West Mercia Police confirmed a silver Volkswagen Golf had collided with a grey Audi A3.
Officers appealed for witnesses to come forward to help with their investigations.
