Clever detector dog Milo sniffed out a huge haul of cigarettes at Dublin Port.
A whopping 4.8 million cigarettes hidden in a parcel which had arrived from the Netherlands and was marked as "plastic pipes" and "rubber seals" were discovered on Wednesday. The smuggled cigarettes, which were seized by Revenue officers, were of "Lambert & Butler" brand.
The items have an estimated retail value of almost €3.8 million, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €2,969,000. They were found as a result of routine profiling.
