A huge seizure of cocaine with a value of €1.26 million has been made at Dublin Port.
The find, which came about in an intelligence led sting by Revenue and gardai, was made with the help of Revenue's detector dog James. A man, 54, and a woman, 43, have been arrested in connection with drug trafficking offences.
The 18kg of cocaine was found within a vehicle that was searched. The teams involved included Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit.
