Detectives are investigating a suspected stabbing in Newcastle city centre after a teen driver was attacked.
At 8.20pm on Wednesday evening, officers received a report that a man had been assaulted on Westmorland Road at the junction of St James’ Boulevard near the Discovery Museum.
It was reported that a group of five men crossed the road in front of the victim’s car, which led to the 18-year-old driver beeping his horn. The group of males then proceeded to smash his car window.
