The New Patriots signed wide receiver K.J. Osborn on Sunday, and the details of his contract were released. Osborn is getting a one-year, $4 million deal worth upwards of $6 million, per the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.
This could end up being a bargain contract for New England. Osborn was the No. 3 wide receiver in Minnesota behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. He still ended up putting together a strong season in 2023, recording 48 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns. This included averaging 11.3 yards per reception.
The Patriots could still build their wide receiver room through the draft, as Osborn will provide a nice depth option for the position.

This isn’t the splashy free agent signing that many Patriots fans were hoping to see in free agency. Nevertheless, this does give New England a stabilizing force in a receiving corps that could be on the verge of a youth infusion.
