Dua Lipa and Trevor Noah set tongues wagging when they were spotted locking lips earlier this week and now eyewitnesses have shared details of their adorable date night.
The 27-year-old chart topping star and the 38-year-old South African comedian were spotted art Miss Lily’s in New York City on Wednesday night - and ended their night with a smooch.
The unexpected pairing has captured the imaginations of fans who have been delighting in the fact they are growing close.
A source has claimed to Page Six that the Trevor chose the venue for their date - which is said to be one of the first for the pair who are figuring out their feelings for each other.
The source told the outlet that Dua looked absolutely “smitten” as she dined with Trevor and that it looked like the pair were “definitely on a date”.
However a separate source explained that it is still early days for the pair and they: “are not officially a couple.”
However, the initial source claimed: “Noah was a gentleman the whole evening and the two went home separately.
“[They enjoyed] maybe a corner lips kiss… and here is definitely interest on both ends.”
While Trevor may well be embarking on a new romance, it has been revealed it’s the end of the road for him and his much loved late night talk show The Daily Show.
The star has hosted the satirical news show on Comedy Central since 2015 - but he will now be stepping down from the role.
In a statement shared on Friday, he declared that he was "filled with gratitude for the journey" but that there was "another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring".
He told fans: "It's been wild, truly wild".
"I remember when we first started... so many people didn't believed in us," he said. "[Appointing me as host] was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African.
"I just [find] myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It's been absolutely amazing. It's something that I never expected."
He continued: "I've loved hosting this show, it's been one of my greatest challenges, it's been one of my greatest joys. But after seven years, I feel like it's time.
"I realised there's another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring. I miss learning other languages, I miss going to other countries and putting on shows. I miss just being everywhere and doing everything.
"I'm really grateful to a network who believed in this random comedian nobody knew on this side of the world.
"I never dreamed that I would be here. I sort of felt like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I came in for a tour of what the previous show was, and then the next thing I know I was handed the keys. All I can say is thank you very much."
The exact date when he will step down - and who will replace him - is yet to be revealed but it is expected he will bow out before the end of the year.
