'Detailed process': Bombers go in-house to pick coach

Essendon have opted to go in-house with the panel that will decide whether James Hird returns as their AFL senior coach.

President Andrew Welsh and chief executive Tim Roberts will be on the panel, along with vice-president Anthony Di Pietro and former player Ted Richards.
