Destiny Udogie is currently undergoing his medical at Hotspur Way ahead of his move to Tottenham, football.london understands. Catching the eye in Serie A for Udinese, the left wing-back is set to become the club's seventh signing of the summer.
The Italy Under-21 international will not spend the 2022/23 campaign with Tottenham, however, as he is set to return to Udinese on a season-long loan deal. football.london understands that the 19-year-old, who will be back in Udinese training on Tuesday, will join Antonio Conte's men for a fee of £15million rising to £18million.
Already strengthening at left wing-back earlier in the summer with Ivan Perisic joining on a free transfer from Inter Milan, Conte and Fabio Paratici are clearly looking to the future with the addition of Udogie. The left-sided player does appear to be perfect for both the boss and Tottenham following a standout year in Serie A.

Coming through Hellas Verona's youth system and appearing in the first team, he joined Udinese on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy in July 2021. Registering five goals and three assists in 35 Serie A appearances playing at left wing-back, his form alerted a number of Italian clubs, including Juventus, as well as Man City.
However, it is Tottenham who have won the race for his signature. So what type of player will the Lilywhites be getting? The youngster gave an insight when speaking to The Italian Football Podcast back in April.
"I love to attack, I love to attack. I have a very good physique, so I attack with my physique," he said. "Also with my feet I like to dribble, skill and some pace. I think these are my best qualities."
On areas of his game he can improve, he added: "Almost everywhere to be honest. More to be focused on the 90 minutes, all the game in defending, following the man when they do one-two. A lot of these but these are the most important."
Udogie wasn't involved at all in the Udinese squad at the weekend as they started their Serie A campaign with a 4-2 defeat against AC Milan. The Italian side are back in action on Saturday with a home fixture against Salernitana.
