Destination Porsche centre opens in Nottinghamshire near busy roundabout

A brand new centre dedicated to all things Porsche has opened in Nottinghamshire. The place has become the second 'Destination Porsche' site in the UK.

The centre at Edwalton on Landmere Lane, near the Wheatcroft roundabout off the A52, replaces the showroom at Riverside Retail Park. It has been described as somewhere customers can ‘fully immerse themselves in everything Porsche.’

The move has allowed the showroom and workshop to be redesigned from the ground up and expanded. With features in the showroom such as a distinguished bespoke Porsche scent in the specification lounge and circulating through the building, the luxury sports car manufacturer’s latest models on display, extensive use of audio-visual technology and Porsche Sound resources creates a relaxed and engaging environment, in which customers and fans are guided through the company’s story.

The first Destination Porsche site was in Reading, while the new Nottingham centre was officially opened this week by Krishan Bodhani, CEO Porsche Cars GB. Krishan said: “This grand opening is another important milestone for our Porsche brand representation in the UK.

“This is only the second brand-new purpose-built ‘Destination Porsche’ Centre under our new Corporate Architecture concept. ‘Destination Porsche’ is designed to enhance the customer experience and to further strengthen enthusiasm for our sports cars.

“This is what we call ‘Customer Centricity’ and it’s our highest priority – to put the customer in the centre of our activities.”

Outside the centre, there are two Porsche Turbochargers offering high power DC charging for electric cars, which are available for use by customers and the public during opening hours. There are also Fast Lane facilities that use bodywork cameras and automatic tyre tread analysis technology.

Michael Mason, Centre Principal at Porsche Centre Nottingham, said: “We are honoured to open this purpose-built ‘Destination Porsche’ showroom. Our new home really is a destination where visitors can fully immerse themselves in everything Porsche. The space is also available to enjoy coffee with friends and for hosting business meetings. And the increased showroom display of new and Approved pre-owned Porsche sports cars is supported by our expanded servicing and repair facilities.”
