Police in the North East of Scotland have traced a 14-year-old boy, who had been missing for five days, following a public appeal.
Logan Simpson, from Banff in Aberdeenshire, was last seen around 9pm on Wednesday, July 27, in Buckie, Moray, around 20 miles away.
The Facebook post asking for information was shared more than 1,400 times, with police saying around 2pm today that the youngster had been found.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that Logan Simpson, 14, reported missing from Banff, has been traced safe and well. Many thanks to all those who responded to and shared our appeal."
Officers are still trying to trace 44 missing people listed on the Police Scotland website, some of whom have been missing for a number of years.
