Fashion is a playground where people can be creative and use clothing as a form of self expression.
But one designer's latest creation has turned heads, understandably, as it centres around a rather eccentric theme - the Teletubbies. Anyone who grew up watching TV in the 90s will remember the children's show, which ran from 1997 to 2001.
Now, British designer Christian Cowan's has launched a pair of knee high boots which feature the neon green character Dipsy. While this may offer some nostalgic comfort, the bizarre shoes costs an eye watering £2,092 - which will likely make you cry "Eh oh!".
The Mirror reports that the shoes only come in the Dipsy design, but Cowan's latest line also features Tinky Winky, Laa-Laa and Po on a range of other clothing items. The boots have even left celebrities stunned by the idea with some, including Paris Hilton, commenting on the bright green heels.
Unveiling the boots on Instagram, the New York-based designer previously teased the nostalgic clothing collection with a photoshoot featuring the entire squad.
Sharing the snaps on social media, Cowan wrote: "The collab you didn't know you needed... Teletubbies x Christian Cowan has dropped. When deciding what our next collaboration would be, we were throwing around lots of pop culture icons, and then it struck us, let's do THE icons.
"We treated Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po, and Tinky-Winky like the legends they are, shot in an Avdeon-esque style, the garments tell the story of our four legendary characters, who have come to step on everyone's necks and have autographed these pieces for their adoring fans."
Alongside the boots, the collection also features trousers, jackets, t-shirts, and hoodies - all also with eye-watering price tags - but they're coined as "elevated essentials."
In the comments, Paris Hilton waded in saying: "Need!" Someone else wrote: "Didn't know I needed these until now."
Others weren't as impressed though, leaving comments saying we were living in a "clown world."
"Love this, but I'm loyal to my boy Po!", someone joked.
Launched last week, the boots were a sell out on the first day. Cowan commented to let his followers know that they had been restocked saying: "Dipsy boots are available again, link in bio."
