A Derry city centre restaurant is to donate a percentage of its intake to help those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
Istanbul Turkish Restaurant is a popular fixture on Derry's Strand Road. With staff coming from the impacted region, their devastation was clear.
The restaurant announced today that they wanted to do their bit to help those affected by the earthquakes.

They said: "I’m sure by now everyone is aware of the devastating affects of the earthquakes in our home town in Turkey!
"The devastation is absolutely heart-breaking and in the hours and days ahead it will surely continue!
"Anyone who dines with us in the next 10 days 15% of the value of your bill will be donated to Turkey to help with the devastating effects many families will face now and in coming days!"
This selfless act comes as the city hosts a vigil in honour of those impacted by the earthquakes.
Vigil organiser Davy McCauley from the Derry Anti War Coalition spoke of the importance in holding an event like this.
He said: "Almost all of the Syrian refugees in Derry come from the North of the Country. The most war ravaged areas have now been further devastated by earthquakes .
"I have been in contact with the local Syrian community and tragically all of them have lost relatives in the disaster. It's important that our friends and neighbours from Syria do not feel alone and isolated at this time.
"So we call on the people of Derry to come out and show their support and love for those going through such incredible trauma."
