A dance teacher from Northern Ireland has told of her students' "excitement" as they prepared to take part in the Halloween Carnival Parade on Monday as part in Derry.
Irena Noonan, who opened up her very own dance studio City Dance last month in the city, has been working hard with her students to take part in the parade on October 31.
Organised by the North West Carnival initiative, the carnival parade brings together an immense number of community groups and schools across the entire city and district in one jaw-dropping performance.

This year’s theme of the Ninth Wave will reawaken the river Gods for a fearsome display of magic and mayhem led by some of the spookiest and scariest spirits of the deep.
Speaking to MyDerry, Irena spoke of some of the work that goes on behind the scenes to prepare for the biggest carnival celebration of Halloween in Europe.
She said: "We are super excited to take to the streets this Halloween night for the biggest and best Halloween parade in the world.
"We have 30 dancers from City Dance taking part and they are so excited. Some of which is their first time doing a parade ever. It’s going to be an amazing night and our first parade as City Dance. With only opening our doors six weeks ago we have had a busy time.
"We have been rehearsing for this now for three weeks along with extra rehearsals for other performances. This Halloween has been super super busy and we love it.
"Taking part in the parade we have some of our younger members from our pre-teen classes and some of our teen classes also.
"Running alongside this our teen members have been extra busy working with our senior members entertaining the public at Cullens Amusements on Wednesday past and we have been dawning the streets of Derry during the Awakening of the Walls all weekend."
