There has not been a more terrifying sight for NFL defenders over the last few years than Derrick Henry running at them in the open field with a full head of steam. And that may be the case for at least another season.
In the Tennessee Titans season opener Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, King Henry broke off a big run on the right side of the field and the first defender with a chance to tackle him was safety Marcus Maye … unfortunately for Maye.
In extremely vintage Derrick Henry form, Henry delivered a stiff arm to Maye with the force of a blow from Bud Crawford.

On the bright side, Maye slowed Henry down enough to allow his teammates time to gather and bring him down together. It’s also not the worst we’ve seen Henry stiff-arm someone — hello Josh Norman. Can’t forget about this blow to Alex Myres either. It is but the latest addition to the collection.
