Phillip Schofield is the name everyone is talking about after he suddenly quit the ITV morning show This Morning and has now admitted to lying about an affair with a younger man who also worked on the show. While some of his This Morning co-stars have commented on the situation, including Holly Willoughby, others have not.
Fellow This Morning presenter Dermot O'Leary, who presents the show on Fridays alongside Alison Hammond, refused to comment on the situation. When approached by Sky News reporters, Dermot said it would not be "appropriate to comment". You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
Speaking to reporters, Dermot said: "I don't think it's appropriate for me to comment, is that is OK. Sorry, I know you have waited a long time. Like I said I don't think it's appropriate, especially without any knowledge, I don't think it is appropriate for me to comment on a story I don't know."
