Derek McInnes called out Willie Collum over his decision not to award Kilmarnock a penalty at Ibrox - after VAR handed Rangers a spot-kick.
The Kilmarnock manager was left perplexed as Collum signalled for a corner after a collision between Allan McGregor and Rory McKenzie in the box.
McInnes - who had watched his side penalised for a handball in the box - was adamant that his players were due a spot-kick for the incident.
"We should get a penalty that we don't get, inexplicably," said McInnes. "I don't know... I wish the referees could come explain it, I do.
"I don't understand how we don't get a penalty.
"I asked the fourth official because Willie gave a corner, but it's a penalty before it's a corner because the ball is still in play and Greegsy has come down the back of Rory's leg.
"It's a really untidy challenge but it's a challenge that merited a penalty kick.
"The fourth official told me they were checking it which gave me the confidence that it would arrive at the right decision.
"I have watched it about ten times now - granted I've only watched it from one angle - but I don't see anything other than Greegsy coming down the back of Rory and Rory has collapsed.
"For that to be given as a corner... it'd be nice to get that explained to me but I don't get it."
McInnes did, however, concede that VAR did make the right call to award Rangers a penalty after the ball struck Ryan Alebiosu in the box.
He said: "It seemed to take an eternity, I didn't really know what it was for at the time.
"It's a good example of VAR working properly. I thought it was a penalty having seen it again.
"I did think it took a long time to arrive at that decision but ultimately the right decision was made."
