Derek McInnes has revealed Bojan Miovski has "trained brilliantly" ahead of Rangers' clash against St Mirren.
The Ibrox boss admitted the striker looked like he might have been heading for an exit in the closing days of the transfer window but no move materialised.
In a twist of fate, McInnes is hugely releived to have the former Aberdeen ace as part of his squad after Lawrence Shankland was sidelined for at least three months due to a hamstring tear.
Youssef Chermiti is a long-term absentee after suffering an ACL injury.
McInnes will now rely on Ryan Naderi, Miovski and £9m deadline day signing Kevin Kelsy to lead the line in the coming weeks and months.
And he has revealed Miovski has been red-hot in training.
McInnes said: "Ryan [Naderi] was a significant investment; he's a handful and when he plays with a partner, he does the job and did really well at the weekend.
"The club has spent a lot on Kevin [Kelsy], it's a big step but we think it's the right one.
"Bojan's goals per game in Scotland is very strong. He's trained brilliantly and it looked as though he was maybe going elsewhere but such is the way, I'm glad we have these three lads in the building."
