Derek McInnes had a playful response after he was questioned about Rangers' recent upturn in form following their hammering of Celtic on Sunday.
The Light Blues dominated their rivals at Ibrox and put three past them without reply to make the semi-final stage of the Premier Sports Cup. They will face Aberdeen in the final four.
For McInnes it's the fifth win on the bounce after a difficult start to life as the Light Blues manager which began with European failures to qualify for any competition.
Jablonec saw off Gers on penalties to reach the Conference League and McInnes, while applauded for the win over Celts, was reminded about the disappointment earlier in the campaign.
And that's when he hit out with a brilliant one-liner when the journalist threw the question at him. "Seriously, why are you p***ing on my chips?" he joked.
"I do feel, when we look back, it’s the one defeat we have had in the last eight games, and it was a sore one. The performance that night was in complete contrast to today, because it was a big game for us as a club.
"To deliver such a lacklustre performance, a performance that I wouldn’t want to put my name to, and I had to, and I had to deal with that. I know the consequence of that. But we have to say we didn’t look ready. We never looked ready, even though we got a couple of wins here and there.
"We didn’t look ready as a club to deliver that, and we should have been. So there’s a shared responsibility for that. Obviously, the majority of the responsibility lies with me. But the performance today was exactly what was required. I’m pleased that, since that game you mentioned, we’ve come quite a long way.
"But I think you also see the magic ingredient of confidence from the players, just winning games. Even when we’re winning games, it was, ‘They are not doing that, it’s not enough,’ and there’s still criticism, and that’s just what it is here. The criticism will come again if we don’t win next Sunday.
"I just feel, for this team, the young team, the young squad, it’s important that they take the good from the game. Use it as a reference as we try to work towards getting better performances on a more consistent basis. But we look as if we are up and running now, and hopefully we can improve."
