Derek Chisora is willing to stake £200,000 on a bold wager that Jake Paul beats boxing legend Carl Froch in a potential fight.
YouTube star Paul launched his career in the boxing ring with wins over the likes of Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, but will face his biggest test in Saudi Arabia this weekend when he takes on ex-Love Island star Tommy Fury. Paul has ruffled the feathers of some of the most high-profile names since his arrival from the influencer world including Froch and Canelo Alvarez.
Froch has regularly stated his plan to step in the squared circle with Paul and the pair have since traded back-and-forth verbal barbs over a showdown. British heavyweight Chisora has been heavily involved with Paul in recent weeks having played host to his launch press conference and even faced-off with the YouTuber.
Now 'WAR' believes that Paul's self-belief would hand him a huge advantage if he was to touch gloves with Froch. “Good luck to Jake Paul. The guy believes he can do anything, and when you’re that young age, you believe you can do anything," Chisora told iFL TV when assessing a potential meeting. “He’s entertainment.
"Those people that talk rubbish about him, they can’t do it, that’s why. There’s nothing wrong with that. Carl Froch will go in there and get his a**e beaten up and go get your check, bro. He’ll beat Carl Froch. I'm willing to bet £200,000 that Carl Froch would get his a*** dealt with. I'm being 100 per cent serious."
YouTube star Paul first became associated with Froch after the former world champion branded him a "clown" for his new disruptor role in the sport. Since then the Nottingham star has been highly critical of his career, suggesting his opponents have been picked to try and increase his record.

The 'Problem Child' recently proposed that Froch meets his former opponent Silva on the undercard of one of his shows before the pair can then do battle in the ring. However the Briton believes upcoming rival Fury will do a job on him which will see his stint beyond the ropes derailed.
"So, Jake Paul has called me out on his social media," Froch said in a video posted on Twitter. "Apparently he wants to fight me. I won't be fighting the mixed martial arts legend Anderson Silva on your undercard. I've got too much respect for him. And your punch when you boxed him, did that even land? Very dubious.
"You've got a job to do against Tommy Fury. If by some miracle you manage to beat him, then I'll listen to you. I'll have a little chat with you and see what garbage comes out of your mouth. See what you've got to say. I'm a four-time world champion. Two WBC titles there. You'll never, ever have one of them. You're not good enough. You're not a professional fighter. You're a performing clown. That's all you are."
