Which mental health meme makes you laugh hardest may say something about how you see yourself. In a study of 225 young adults in Poland, memes about depression were rated the funniest, memes about procrastination were rated the most personally relatable, and the more a meme seemed to describe someone's own life, the funnier they tended to find it.
The study, by psychologists at the University of Silesia in Katowice, was published June 11 in Current Issues in Personality Psychology. The authors describe it as the first to examine reactions to memes across a broad range of psychological problems rather than depression alone.
